Established in 2014, Lara Farm is situated on French Island in Western Port Bay, 61km southeast of Melbourne. With 70% of the island national park, the 150 acre property offers a unique environment to farm while enjoying a unique natural setting.
We farm and we care for our natural environment too. At the front of the property frog-filled dams, bespoke beehives, handmade bird nesting boxes, some rare breed turkeys, chickens, fruit trees and a veggie patch reside alongside a fenced remnant forest.
At the rear, we farm stud Alpacas, Wagyu cattle and Limousin cattle in paddocks of shade trees and dams. Our farming philosophy is ‘we grow grass’ and we manage genetics. We are committed to breeding genetically advanced, healthy stud animals.
